What is (E,E)?

Quality over Quantity (E,E)

One of the major trends in Web3 over the past year has been a focus on social coordination between members of various communities to maximize positive economic outcomes for individuals, groups and protocols. We’ve taken this approach and will focus on a few exceptional yield strategies that initiate high social coordination engagement between all the important demographics of crypto. The type of social coordination we haven’t seen since the Rebase revolution that brought us DeFi summer 2020 and the even bigger follow on with Olympus 3,3 and its mainstream viral adoption.

The Elastic Vault provides a range of social coordination opportunities for Elastic Vault stakers and EEFI holders that we call E,E (Elevate, Emancipate), where social coordination (illustrated by Olympus' success) is applied in a new way to the yield strategy space. You can see examples below in the context of the Elastic Vault.

Social Coordination Example

Positive Economic OutcomeSocial Coordination (E,E) Strategy
Higher EEFI EmissionsWhat: Higher EEFI emissions benefit Elastic Vault users by increasing their share of the EEFI supply (emissions are delivered directly to vault stakers).

Coordination Strategy: Increasing EEFI emissions requires:

- Higher amounts of AMPL deposited into the Elastic Vault: For example, stakers can deposit AMPL to increase the amount of the asset in the Elastic Vault.

- AMPL in neutral rebase: The Elastic Vault emits the most EEFI during neutral AMPL rebases. Stakers are incentivized to purchase AMPL during negative rebases to move AMPL into neutral rebase status and collect more EEFI rewards.
Higher EEFI BurnsWhat: Higher EEFI burns benefit EEFI holders and Elastic Vault users by decreasing the EEFI supply (due to market buys and burns of EEFI).

Coordination Strategy: Increasing EEFI burns requires:

- Higher amounts of AMPL deposited into the Elastic Vault: Stakers can deposit AMPL to increase the amount of the asset in the Elastic Vault.

- AMPL in positive rebase: EEFI holders and Elastic Vault stakers can coordinate to sustain AMPL's positive rebase periods, which would result in more EEFI buys and burns (and the growth of the Ampleforth protocol).
